A word from the author

by Barbara Kreger Washburn on 5/23/2007

I hope you enjoy my novel, The Hiding Place. My goal was to give the reader a good mystery without the usual bad language and vulgarity. Also I wanted to give the reader a good picture of Eureka Springs and Ozark Mountains. As for the dance lessons--well if you don't want to learn to dance it's still a good read. Enjoy!

Product Overview

Starting over-can it be as simple as packing up and moving to a new town? In Barbara Kreger Washburn's novel The Hiding Place, twenty-seven-year-old Amanda White longs to escape her tortured past and start over. She moves to a quiet Victorian town nestled in the Ozark Mountains, unaware of the evil lurking there. From the first sentence to the last word, Barbara Washburn takes you through the twists and turns of suspense, fear, and murder, as Amanda's fairytale life becomes a nightmare. From out of The Hiding Place, Amanda is terrorized by a mysterious stalker who threatens to driver her over the edge.
