awesome, thrilling, and quite the adventure for a
I first read this book while completing my seventh year of grade school. Upon opening the book i noticed that there were many other books that Brooks had written, and most of which followed that same series. Others began a new set, with new characters in each save one... the Druid Alannon. The 'Sword' starts off the Shannara series and continues through the Elfstones, and then to which leads on with the Wishsong; (of Shannara). In the Sword, you first meet Flick Ohmsford, brother and close friend of Shea Ohmsford, both of which are main characters in book one of the series. The story then follows on to meet the dark and secretive Druid Alannon. Alannon befriends Shea and must leave one night without notice or explanation. He leaves behind only the three Elfstones in a leather pouch, and a note telling them to meet him in the Anar forest... What does Alannon have in plan for Shea? Read this book to find out just what happens to him, and you'll be amazed as the story unfolds and leads Shea through the fourlands and to an ultimate encounter with the Warlock Lord.
