Good reference and fun to read
The author is a writer for Popular Woodworking magazine and discusses his quest to build the perfect workbench. He believes he has found such an item and includes plans for the same. I thoroughy enjoyed the theory parts, including shortfalls of the modern home center brand bench. Perhaps the book is best geared toward those who own wordworking handtools such as planes and chisels. Those of us who get-bye with a circular saw, palm sander and screw gun may not need to build such an elaborate workstation. But if you are approaching the design phase of a bench, reading this book is a very good start.
