I'm a relatively new photographer, and was looking for a tripod that would allow me to get the shots that I wanted, but without breaking the bank. This tripod fit this use case scenario nicely.
-Price (obviously). I was unable to find anything remotely similar in quality for less than $45 in a retail store
-Aluminum legs make this very light and easy to haul around
-Quick release plate makes mounting and un-mounting the camera very easy
-Two levels (one on the base and another on the mount) are VERY handy. Eyeballing these things is not my strong suit
-All moving parts work smoothly
-No included instruction manual. Most photographers would not find this a problem, no doubt, but a novice like me could have used a nudge (Me: "What's that yellow thing?" Husband: IT'S A LEVEL, GENIUS.")
-Slightly plastic-y build. But really, for the price, who cares?
Overall, I am VERY happy with this purchase. Even if I decide to upgrade to something more "high quality" later, this would still make an excellent spare or travel tripod.
