Product Overview

Always-On Internet Connectivity via DSL/Cable or 3G with Failover Protection

For a constantly increasing number of people worldwide, online connectivity is a vital necessity, The MWR222 enables business travelers, students and others to stay connected wherever they are, using either Ethernet or Wi-Fi connectivity, and either electrical power or its rechargeable battery.

This ingenious 11n-compatible Wi-Fi router supports DSL/Cable and 3G connectivity, and a unique failover capability; should your wired connection be interrupted for any reason, the MWR222 will automatically switch to a 3G wireless signal via the user’s 3G modem.

Should electrical power go down, the MWR222 will keep operating. It boasts a rechargeable battery so you can stay connected for up to two hours.

It can also serve as a portable hotspot access point for trade shows, seminars, camping and outdoor social gatherings, enabling you to share your Internet connection with more than 10 other users. This is a great way to slash hotel Internet charges when multiple employees or family members need access.

Multi-Service Platform

  • The MWR222 is the only connectivity platform of its kind with multiple technological hooks for modern digital home applications. It is unique in offering two USB ports; the first is available for 3G USB modem support, and the second may be used for future technologies that can enable solution providers to offer services like home monitoring, nanny-cam devises, and home automation and control.

    Always On
  • The MWR222 includes WAN failover and rechargeable batteries with two hours of operation. The batteries serve as a secondary source of power and backup for critical applications like remote health and home monitoring. 3G mobile broadband support as backup or as primary Internet access also ensures that this device remains “always on.”

  • Security is paramount for this portable device running critical applications. The MWR222 offers an SPI (Stateful Packet Inspection) firewall that keeps track of the state of network connections and can distinguish legitimate packets for different of connections and block others. It also offers anti-DoS (Denial of Service) to keep your connection secure, and features that are easy to set-up like WAP/WPA2 wireless security with one button WPS set-up, NAT firewall, and content filtering and protection.
