ALERT: Severe weather, natural disasters and other uncontrollable events may disrupt transit and delivery service in affected areas. We appreciate your understanding and patience as shipping carriers continue to move as fast as they can to ensure your product arrives safely.
2014 Holiday Shipping Deadlines
- Orders may not be canceled once submitted to Rakuten, and Beauty Encounter® will not be able to refund any purchase from the time your order is placed until you have received the product. Should you want to return the merchandise, please refer to the Returns and Refunds Policy.
- When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. We partner with our preferred shipping providers UPS, UPS’s SurePost®, and the US Postal Service for your convenience. Please refer to our shipping table for delivery charges and transit times. Generally, orders should arrive within 2- 8 business days for Standard method. Orders shipped via Standard method will be delivered by UPS or US Postal Service. The UPS SurePost® services combines the reliability and consistency of UPS Ground network and final delivery typically provided by U.S. Postal Service (USPS)—delivery to customers' mailboxes. UPS WorldShip determines if UPS or the USPS completes the final mile of delivery of each shipment. UPS has arranged for all USPS package scanning and delivery statuses to be uploaded to their system. So, even if your package is delivered through USPS, the tracking information will still be available with the same UPS tracking number and through the UPS website.
- We cannot ship 2nd Day Air or Next Day Air to a P.O. Box address.
- Please note that a signature may be required for delivery. We recommend shipping to your place of work.
- Deliveries are normally made on business days, no weekend delivery. A business day is considered to be Monday through Friday, not including weekends or holidays.
- Shipping charges are non-refundable for unclaimed, undeliverable packages or refused packages, unless we made an error in shipment.
- Please shipping addresses for accuracy. Your order may be delayed or canceled if we are not able to validate your shipping addressdouble-check
- Express delivery service is available for an additional fee for in-stock items only. We do request 24-48 hours processing time for all items that are in stock. It is possible that your order may ship the same day, if it is received before 2:00pm Pacific Standard Time; however it is NOT a guarantee. Please note that Expedited delivery will arrive on business days only.
- Holiday Ordering - We highly suggest that you place your order at least 7-10 days before any major holiday to allow enough time for delivery.
- International Customers: Shipping charges do not include taxes or duties. We recommend that you contact your local customs office to request the details of these charges. If you decide to refuse the order, then you will be billed for the original shipping costs, any duties, taxes and/or customs charges that are incurred on the package, and the cost of returning the package to Beauty Encounter®. This amount will be subtracted from your merchandise refund. Beauty Encounter® has made every effort to minimize the shipping costs and does not profit from these rates. - Dangerous Goods: Perfumery products are classified as dangerous goods. Due to international postal regulations, we are unable to ship these products by International Standard. If you order contains perfumery products, please select International Expedited shipping method.
- Products That Cannot Be Shipped Internationally: Certain items cannot be shipped internationally. Some countries restrict shipments of Makeup or Perfumes into the countries. We ask that you check your local customs office to ensure that you can receive these items. We cannot ship select brands outside the 50 US States. Select brands include: Dermalogica, IMAN, NYX Cosmetics and Jane Iredale.
- We cannot ship select brands to the European Union: Select brands include: Davidoff, Joop!, Jil Sander, Nikos, J.Lo/Jennifer Lopez, Calvin Klein, Lancaster, Chloe, Marc Jacobs, Kenneth Cole, Sarah Jessica Parker "Covet", and Cerruti.
- We cannot ship select brands to Australia and Canada:

- Expedited — Usually delivers in 2 - 6 business days after shipment

Returns and Refunds
Your complete satisfaction is very important to us. We strive to earn a 5-star rating with every purchase. Please allow 7-10 business days for your refund to post to your account. Some refunds may take up to one full billing cycle to appear on your statement. You can contact our customer care department anytime to follow-up on the status of your return or refund.
For fragrance purchases:
We stand behind all of the products that we sell. If for any reason you are not satisfied with the quality of your fragrance purchase, we offer a full refund within 30 days of delivery. If you received a damaged or defective item, we will ship you a replacement of the same item at no cost to you. We do not charge a restocking fee for these two circumstances.
For all other products:– These products may not be returned.
Electric Hair Tools & Appliances – Most tools/appliances have product warranty available through the manufacturer. Product(s) must be registered directly through the manufacturer within the specified time frame, which is provided on our product details page of the item. Please note that certain product(s) may not have a product warranty available due to the manufacturer relationship status.
How do I return a product to Beauty Encounter?
Please contact us via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 1-888-844-7730 to request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA).
A 15% restocking fee and S&H will be assessed to orders returned for unclaimed shipments, refused, mis-orders, or not due to company error.
Product Defect, Damaged or Wrong Shipment: Please contact us within 48 hours of delivery for an immediate resolution.
No Exchanges: We do not allow merchandise exchanges at this time. Please contact our Customer Care department should you require assistance with processing a return
Canceled Orders are eligible for a full refund, including S&H, if canceled prior to order fulfillment.
Refused or Unclaimed Items: A 15% restocking fee and a Return to Sender fee of $5.95 will be assessed accordingly. Original shipping cost is non-refundable.
Returned to Sender Fee: A $5.95 S&H fee will be assessed unless it was the result of our carrier's error.
Missed Scheduled Delivery: A redelivery fee may apply if reshipping is requested.
International Return to Sender: A 15% restocking fee and any additional S&H will be assessed accordingly.
Shipping costs are non-refundable for unclaimed, undeliverable or returned packages, unless the mistake was the result of our error.
Dangerous Goods: Certain items including fragrances, aerosols, and nail polish are considered as dangerous goods by the US Department of Transportation (DOT). We use Standard Ground (surface) delivery method for these products. You are advised not to re-mail the contents of the parcel via the Postal Service under US DOT-SP 9275 regulations. Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA)
Follow the instructions below:
Email or call us to obtain a Return Merchandise Number (RMA). We will email you an RMA number and instructions for the return within 24-48 hours.
Securely package up the unused item(s) you wish to return or exchange in the original packaging to ship your product. Fill out the approved RMA form that has been emailed or provided to you and include it with your return.
We recommend that you obtain a delivery confirmation number and insure your returned package. We are not responsible for packages that are lost or damaged in transit to our warehouse.
You need to send the item back prepaid by you within 14 days of receiving it.
Write your RMA number on the outside of the shipping box.
