Founded by four family members who share a passion for mid-century modern furniture, the company carefully designs each article. The family collaborates with furniture designers who value the history of design and bring purpose and meaning to each piece. Most of the company's furniture is original, but it often remanufactures iconic designs from eras that it loves. The makers create a digital model and then build a sample of each design. From there, it tests the individual representation for comfort and to ensure that its proportions are correct.
This designer is meticulous about the materials that go into the making of its furniture. It sources the wood for its frames from Australia and the leather from both local tanners and tanneries in Milan, Italy. The woven material is hand-selected from international textile makers. It dyes its leather with natural oils and waxes, and its foam meets fire retardant standards without extra chemicals.
