The company plans to use its resources to combat the climate crisis with a self-imposed 1% for the Planet tax that supports environmental nonprofits that are aiding in the preservation of our air, land and water worldwide. This company has been B-Corp certified since 2016 and is “Born B,” meaning its social mission has been part of the company since its inception. Not only is Leesa setting out to improve people’s sleep, it has created programs to help its communities. The One-Ten program donates one mattress for every 10 sold, with over 32,000 mattresses donated to date. Some initiatives that helped The Body Shop achieve certification include its long history of engaging in the Forever Against Animal Testing campaign, changing its legal status to Triple Bottom Line to declare that it sees its people and the planet as equal to profit, the launch of its in-store recycling program and its work with the Community Fair Trade program to source ingredients from producers in exchange for a fair price.
