You can expect free or discounted shipping on popular items at many of your favorite retailers. You’ll need to pay attention to the fine print, though, because there are some limitations on which items ship free at various stores.
What stores are participating in National Free Shipping day?
Thousands of stores participate in National Free Shipping Day every year and 2019 will be no different. Below, I’ve pulled together some of the most popular stores and what they’ll be offering on December 14.
Amazon always offers free, 2-day shipping for Prime members. They don’t officially participate in National Free Shipping Day, but you can enjoy some last-minute holiday deals on Amazon’s 12 Days of Deals page. If you’re not a Prime member, you can always sign up for a free 30-day trial.
Target has participated in National Free Shipping Day since the holiday’s inception in 2008, but you can take advantage of free 2-day shipping at Target right now. The promotion started on November 1 and runs through December 21. A minimum purchase amount may apply, but Target has waived minimum for the free shipping holiday in the past.
Walmart participates in National Free Shipping Day, but the retailer is already offering some spectacular shipping deals ahead of the 14th. Right now, you can get free next day shipping on select orders of $35 or more in participating areas. Everyone can enjoy free 2-day shipping on orders of $35 or more. The best part? There’s no membership fee. Just fill your cart and save.
Forever 21 has participated in the holiday for the past 9 years. This year, they’re offering free shipping on qualifying orders over $21 when you use the code FREESHIP21. You can also get express shipping on orders over $75 using code EXPSHIP.
Kohl’s participates in National Free Shipping Day but hasn’t provided details on its offer for the holiday. Right now, you can get free standard shipping on orders over $50 with no exclusions. In the past, Kohl’s has offered free shipping without minimums and may match the free 2-day shipping offers from competitors.
Bath and Body Works offers $5.99 flat-rate standard shipping year-round, but the store does participate in National Free Shipping Day. Details for 2019 haven’t been announced, but if history repeats itself, you can expect free shipping after minimum order amounts are met. Traditionally the minimum is somewhere between $25 – $30.
Best Buy is offering free next-day delivery on thousands of items if you spend $35. You can enjoy free shipping one everything now through the 25th. This matches what Best Buy did in 2018 for the holiday.
Macy’s is currently offering free shipping for orders over $25, but the retailer has been known to remove minimum exclusions from its shipping offer for the holiday.
JCPenney is also offering free shipping for orders over $25, but last year the store gave free shipping on all orders for National Free Shipping Day.
